And so it begins...
I’ve successfully put off starting a blog thus far by claiming teachership. All I do all day is work with students and so every blog post would be some kind of student rant or rave. This excuse does not however hold any water when compared with the Mindy-teacher-therapy-blog that has me in stitches daily, [or is that postly?] As I take a district imposed hiatus from teaching and venture out on my latest adventure it seemed like just the right time to enter the blogosphere and release my inner blog-a-logue. I have an inescapable journaling gene passed down from my great times a few grandfather, Wilford Woodruff, not to mention my grandmother’s on both sides. I’ve had a fairly consistent journal since high school. Even on the mission I laboriously recorded 67 cassette tapes of journals profession to my companions that I would transcribe them when I got home. 7 years later I have 2 tapes done. When I do get writing I tend to go on which has also given me cause to pause in blog endeavors. #1 you don’t really see a whole lot of long texty blog posts-or more realistically said, you don’t often read long texty blog posts. I’ll have to counteract it with lots of pictures and links. #2 My grammar is awful. I write super extended sentences, (comment parenthetically) all while making up words. How many have I made up in this post so far? So you can’t say that you haven’t been warned. It’s just like talking to me minus the odd facial expressions and sound effects when words just won’t do. #3 Whatever I write is out there- laid out for all of you, Yikes! Anything I blog can be held against me and copied, pasted and emailed who knows where. Be kind, what can I say more? Just the other day I read one of Mindy’s posts to a friend from my phone. But I’ve been enjoying so many of your blogs that I suppose turn about is fair play.
So here we go friend onward to neatly categorized posts of all those things I’ve been longing to tell you… and soon what you really want to know….YSA life in the UK.
